Brunch Style: Summer Trends
Summer has officially arrived and the team at Gals That Brunch couldn’t be more excited. To us, summer means enjoying days and nights on patios, being active outdoors, and spending as much time as close to or in a body of water as possible. But on the weekends, we typically like to include hitting up our favorite local spots for brunch & coffee.
We know that life looks a lot different now than it did last summer, so getting out to our favorite brunch spots isn’t always as accessible as it used to be. But, depending on where you live, if you have the chance to get out to brunch (safely, of course), we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite fashion trends for this season
Versatile Jumpsuits & Rompers
The idea of a one-piece ensemble has been a trend for a few seasons and we are seeing this translate into the summer season this year as well. Jumpsuits are the perfect piece to feel very comfortable and put together at the same time, which is what brunch outfit dreams are made of. Utility styling is leading this season, so think of linen or light twill fabrics, lots of pockets, and button or grommet details.
The only downfall is they can be a bit tricky to get on and off when you need to make a trip to the ladies, but nothing’s perfect, right?

Daytime Dresses
A summer dress is always a trend season over season, full of bright colors and gorgeous florals to make choosing your brunch outfit a breeze. Whether you choose a solid color, a fun print, or a striped option, throwing on a summer dress paired with cute sandals, your favorite sunglasses, and a tote or crossbody purse is the recipe for a perfect summer brunch look.

Besides comfort and versatility, safety is also a high priority for many people this summer. With the health pandemic still a player this season, and regulations for going out in public in many places either requiring or recommending wearing masks, it’s time to think of it as another accessory for your look. With big brands and local boutiques adding stylish masks to their apparel & accessories assortment, you’re sure to find a few that will keep you feeling safe and looking great.
We’re seeing a lot of cute prints, different fabrics, and even some luxe options that include velvet or sequins that will help take your mask game to the next level.
It seems like every brand is coming out with their own face masks, but we are loving all of the fun print options that Anthropologie is offering.
There’s so many great trends happening for Summer 2020, that it was hard to pick our favorites. But for us, it’s all about looking great and feeling our best, so we chose trends that make our team feel confident, put together, and comfortable for this summer season.
