Speaker Spotlight: Dr. Caroline Leaf

In just a few days, we are hosting our next Global Virtual Brunch that is dedicated to our healthcare workers and those working on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19. To all of the ladies on the frontlines - nurses, doctors, social workers, medical techs, PA’s, EMTs, Firefighters, counselors, researchers, social workers, those in the non-profit space and the list goes on! We want you to know that WE SEE YOU!

Whether this crisis is exhausting your daily workload, or you are unable to practice the way you used to and uncertain of what the future holds, we are here to support you! COVID-19 or not, we know that you are no stranger to stress and traumatic events, and that can wear on your mental health and well-being.  They’ve got names for it (compassion fatigue, provider burnout, secondary traumatic stress), but we’ve got support for it!

We have the privilege of hosting an expert in the field of mental health, Dr. Caroline Leaf. She has done ground-breaking research on how to build personal resiliency in the stressful situations you find yourselves in every day.  She is leading the charge in changing how the world views mental health and changing the system from the inside out!  A lot of the current research on the support needed for the frontlines describe the problems, but end there.  Dr. Leaf provides real, practical SOLUTIONS with data to support them.  She is going to show us how to maintain a healthy state of being in the midst of the often highly adverse circumstances of the frontlines work environment.
